- What is your position at Down Farm? Racing Secretary
- How long have you worked here? 10 years
- What made you start a career in racing? My parents used to take my brother Craig and I racing all the time growing up. Both of us ended up working in the industry, Craig was a jockey and I quickly realised I was more use in the office!
- Favourite horse in the yard and why? I have to say Valseur Du Granval because he’s owned by my parents. We set up a small syndicate of family and friends a couple of years ago and he’s provided us with some amazing memories. I’m forever grateful to Tom and his previous owner Simon Clarke.
- Favourite racecourse and why? Aintree, I love travelling up for Ladies Day every year.
- Fondest racing memory? Val winning the Boyne Cup at Ludlow
- If you didn’t work in racing what would be your dream job? Professional golfer
- If you were on a desert island with one other member of the TRG team who would it be and why? Adrian O’Shea, he would keep me entertained with his jokes and Irish singing!
- Celebrity crush? That’s a tough one, Georginio Wijnaldum’s looks with Stephen Mulhern’s personality.
- Have you ever met anyone famous? Chris Kamara in the owners bar at the Cheltenham Festival a few years ago.
- What’s one sentence you’d like to hear from Tom? Do you and Dave want to live in Steanbridge Barn rent free?
- What’s keeping you busy during lockdown? Rearranging my wedding, I was supposed to get married in June but it’s now been postponed to September.
