MINELLA FOR ME (IRE) ran out the easy winner of the competitive 2m3f Handicap Chase at Wetherby on Saturday. He travelled nicely under Johnny before taking the lead four from home and staying on well to secure his fourth win over fences for owner Simon Clarke. The handicapper has put him up to career high mark of 128 but on the back of that performance we are confident there is more to come. The race was a qualifier for the £50,000 Middle Distance Challenger Series Final held at Haydock in April which could prove a nice target to aim for.

OSCAR ROBERTSON (IRE) got off the mark over fences in the 2m4f Novices Handicap Chase at Hereford earlier today in rather extraordinary style! He was matched at three figure odds on the betting exchanges halfway through the final circuit but Johnny never gave up and he finished strongly off the home bend to get up on the line. He should develop into a smart chaser for the Crossed Fingers Partnership and is sure to appreciate a stiffer test next time.
