GOD’S OWN (IRE) has been invited to join the ROR team at Palace House.

Palace House was originally the home of King Charles II. Based in the heart of Newmarket, it spans five aces and comprises of three principle attractions; the National Horseracing Museum, the National Art Gallery of British Sporting Art, and the Rothschild Yard, where the public get a chance to meet former racehorses and learn more about what they do after racing.

The refurbished Rothschild Yard was opened by HM The Queen in 2016 and is considered to be ‘The Champneys for racehorses’. Basil will be the star attraction for the next 12 weeks along with his new stable mates Big Bad Lol, Sir Fred, Spring Loaded, Sun in His Eyes and Tariq Too.

He will then spend the summer back at Down Farm before going to live with his regular work rider Sherrie-Anne Derrick.
