ESPOIR DE TEILLEE (FR) returned to winning ways in the competitive 2m4f Budbrooke Handicap Chase at Warwick earlier today. Johnny held him up in the rear of the field before making steady headway turning for home and staying on strongly to take the lead over the last. We’ve always held the horse in very high regard so it was frustrating to see him lose his confidence on his reappearance at Aintree in November. We are delighted he’s been able to reward Roger Brookhouse for his patience and hopefully now he can continue on an upward curve.
