ESPOIR DE TEILLEE (FR) produced a career best effort at Newbury on Saturday to win the 2m4f BetVictor Handicap Chase in the colours of Roger Brookhouse. He travelled strongly throughout and did very well to hold on after a strong challenge from the runner up. He’s now 2-2 after returning from a wind operation and should hopefully continue to progress.
CHAMPAGNE CITY bounced back to form at Warwick on Tuesday to win the 2m Handicap Hurdle at odds of 20/1! He relished the return to a sounder surface and kept finding off the home turn under a positive ride from Ciaran Gethings. He’s extremely well handicapped on his old form and should be able to build on this.
