DOCTOR DEX (IRE) got back to winning ways at Nancy a couple of weeks ago in the Prix De La Place D’Alliance Conditions Hurdle, earning just under €11,000 for the Crossed Fingers Partnership. He jumped nicely out in front and kept on well under Raymond O’Brien to see off a late challenge from another English trained rival. He arrived back from France on Wednesday and will now enjoy a summer break.

ROCK ON ROCCO (IRE) followed up his recent Ludlow win with another success at Worcester on Wednesday in the 2m4f Handicap Chase. He travelled like the winner throughout and took over stylishly under Tom Scudamore after jumping the last. He’s at the right end of the handicap and should continue to improve.

VALSEUR DU GRANVAL (FR) secured his sixth chase win at Ludlow on Monday in the 2m Handicap Chase and was welcomed back into the winners enclosure by his delighted owners Dave Thompson & The Magic Ten. The heavy rain wouldn’t have been to his liking but Ciaran delivered his challenge at the perfect time and he kept on well off his reduced mark to run out a deserved winner. He could head to Huntingdon on Monday in a bid to follow up under a penalty.
