WESTERN WAVE (FR) ran out the easy winner of the 3m1f Handicap Hurdle at Hereford on Saturday. Noel George held him up towards the rear of the field and he rallied well for pressure two from home to secure a nine length victory for Somerset Racing. Noel’s luck continued with two winners in as many days when scoring in the Amateur Hurdle at Southwell on his first winner for an outside yard, found by his newly appointed agent Chris Broad.

FANFAN DU SEUIL (FR) finished second in the competitive JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial at Cheltenham on Saturday. He travelled strongly throughout and was unlucky to be headed in the closing stages after wandering around slightly up the hill. He will now enjoy a midwinter break and looks a very likely candidate for the big Spring Festivals.

BUN DORAN (IRE) nearly made it back-to-back C&D wins in the 2m Handicap Chase on the same card. It was a great effort off a career high mark of 148 and we are confident there’s a big race in him on his favoured ground.
