The eleven day lull due to the outbreak of equine influenza threw a spanner in the works for everyone in racing and we were no exception.

Having a horse run at the same track as one of the infected horses meant an official shutdown of our yard and swabs taken by a veterinary team of every horse.

Fortunately, all of our horses tested clean for the influenza and we were able to resume running our horses again.

Since restarting we have had some fantastic results; we’ve enjoyed six winners in the last eight days.

Minella For Me kick-started proceedings with the narrowest of wins at Wetherby; it was most enjoyable to see a photo finish go our way.

Doctor Dex then followed up his Wetherby win in January with another nice win at Doncaster in the EBF Novices’ Hurdle.

Now Look At Me provided the team with a double on the day at Doncaster by winning the bumper- a race won two years ago by none other than Black Op.

Of course, we would love if Now Look At Me could go on to emulate more of Black Op’s successes.

Clondaw Castle got the win the following day in emphatic style at Huntingdon; a real star jumper he looked to improve again, beating some decent horses into the placings.

Drumlee Sunset caused a bit of an upset in the betting when toughing out a tight finish to win at Warwick at odds of 12/1- his first run since July which compliments his win even more.

Boagrius added to the good run today at Leicester when showing another tenacious performance, jumping well and out battling his rivals in the finish.

We all hope this good run of form can continue for the duration for the staff, the owners, the horses and fans alike.
