DANDY DUKE (IRE) shrugged off a 686 day absence with ease at Chepstow yesterday to win the 2m7f Fujitsu Handicap Hurdle. He looked the likely winner a long way from home and stayed on strongly to pull eleven lengths clear of his rivals on the run in. He has come out of the race well but we have decided against running him under a penalty at Exeter on Sunday so hopefully the handicapper isn’t too harsh. He remains very lightly raced and should continue to progress on his favoured soft ground this Winter.
